ECS socket 462 motherboards are based on VIA chipsets that have a fair amount of good features to them. Usually there will be 3 slots for memory that support speeds upto DDR333 or pc2700. Socket A is made primarily for Athlon processors but you can also use it with sempron and duron line of processors also. These chpisets also have ATA133, AGP, Ac'97 and all the other features you would expect from a socket A motherboard. ECS socket A motherboards are normally ATX in design but there are mATX models such as the KM400-M2. In conclusion the ECS socket 462 line of motherboards are functional and will do what they're supposed to do. They have good performance and are priced very modestly.
